Clean Gutters

Using a stable ladder with a spotter, scoop debris from gutters into a bucket using a gutter scoop or your hands. Work from the end away from the downspout toward it. Flush with a garden hose to check water flows freely through the downspout. Clogged gutters cause water to overflow against your foundation, leading to basement flooding, foundation cracks, and siding rot. Clean twice a year: late spring and late fall.
